Michel je 50-godišnjak, grafički dizajner, odluči napustiti urbani način života i krenuti u pustolovinu. Strast mu je zračna pošta, i razmišlja o Jeanu Mermozu dok vozi skuter. Jednoga dana Michel ugleda sliku kajaka. I zaljubi se na prvi pogled. Bez znanja supruge, kupuje kajak. No dugo ga ne želi staviti na vodu. Do jednoga dana… kad krene na rijeku.
