Opis:

Tom Reece (Glenn Ford) je vođa kauboja koji je upravo stigao u Chicago nakon mjeseci provedenih na ravnici. Kada izgubi sav novac na pokeru, nerado prihvaća zajam od 3 800 dolara od hotelskog recepcionara Franka Harrisa (Jack Lemmon) u zamjenu za dio njegova stočarskog posla. Frank bi htio postati kauboj i beznadno se zaljubljuje u Mariu Vidal (Anna Kashfi), kćerku bogatoga meksičkog zemljoposjednika. Unatoč tome što im njezin otac zabranjuje da se viđaju, Frank ne odustaje od partnerskog dogovora s Tomom i natjera ljutog kauboja da ga povede na tjeranje stoke u Marijin rodni grad Guadalupe. br>
