Dječak Eyad koji je odrastao u arapskom gradu i Izraelu, dobije priliku otići u prestižni
židovski internat u Jeruzalem i time postaje prvi i jedini Arapin u školi. Eyad se pokušava
prilagoditi židovskim drugovima i okruženju, sprijatelji se sa Jonatanom, dječakom koji ima
mišićnu distrofiju te pomažući njegovoj samohranoj majci Edni, postaje dio Jonatanove obitelji.
Kada se Eyad zaljubi u židovsku djevojčicu Naomi, shvati da je autsajder i da će morati žrtvovati
svoj identitet kako bi ga prihvatili, te donosi odluku koja će mu zauvijek promjeniti život.
