TRENUTAK ISTINE intiman je uron u život slavnog toreadora - kojeg glumi stvarna legenda borbe s bikovima Miguel Mateo, zvan Miguelin. Miguel Romero nemirni je sin farmera koji se bori da preživi u zabitnom, sušnom dijelu Španjolske. Odluči potražiti sreću u Barceloni, ali otkrije da mu njegovi slabašni kontakti ondje ne mogu pomoći pronaći posao. Nakon što nekoliko mjeseci slabo zarađuje i ne uspijeva napredovati, on ugleda plakat slavnog matadora u baru te shvati da takva slavna ličnost može zaraditi velik novac, stoga uči za toreadora te započne svoju afirmaciju, sve dok naposljetku ne dobije slavu i bogatstvo.
