Izgleda da je Umberto Lenzi posebno obožavao taj žanr sudeći po činjenici da je autor dobrog broja tih naslova te ga se čak može nazvati i tvorcem pokreta zahvaljujući njegovom Il paese del sesso selvaggio iz 1972. godine.
