    'Vrt mučenja' dio je putujućeg cirkusa u kojem tajanstveni Dr. Diabolo
    (Burgess Meredith) izvodi mračne točke vezane za smrt i umiranje,
    a nudi i mogućnost specijalne zatvorene predstave u kojim će
    posjetiteljima otkriti iskonsko zlo koje se krije u njima samima.
    Petero posjetitelja platit će 'show' i doživjeti ono što rijetki mogu.
    Budućnost koju vide nije 'zapečačena', već upozorenja na moguće
    tragične ishode koji se mogu izbjeći...




    Engleski redatelj Freddie Francis poznat je kao jedna od uzdanica
    engleskog filma misterije i znanstvene fantastike šezdesetih godina
    prošlog stoljeća.
    Za 'Vrt mučenja' podjednako je zaslužan i autor priče Robert Bloch
    prema kojoj je nastao film, a koji je ujedno napisao scenarij.
    Robert Bloch je pisac koji se najviše proslavio predloškom za kultni film
    Alfreda Hitchcocka 'Psiho'.
    Pravi ljubitelji pisanih misterija sigurno znaju za njega, za širu publiku je
    objavljivanje 'Vrta mučenja' svojevrsno upoznavanje i s piscem i redateljem.



    Film nema specijalnih efekata na kakve smo danas navikli, sve djeluje
    pomalo naivno, ali upravo ta naivnost daje posebnu draž filmu koji na
    zanimljiv način istražuje mračne tajne ljudske prirode. Jack Palance će
    u ulozi kolekcionara, ljubitelja lika i djela Edgara Allana Poea, susresti
    samog začetnika modernog horora.
