Varg Veum - Skriften på veggen (2010)

Veum is no longer working as a private investigator. He's got a permanent job as a teacher, and has calmed down his life, enjoying the domestic bliss with his new girlfriend Karin. But the idyll does not last long. Veum gets a brutal meeting with the past, then his bitter enemy "The Knife" is released from prison, determined to take revenge on those who got him convicted for the murder of the teenage girl. Soon Veum is deeply entangled is a case where he must take a tough battle with his conscience; was he himself really innocent in the girl's death? The only answer is "The Knife", but his mind is set om only one thing - revenge!

Veum više ne radi kao privatni istražitelj, dobio je stalni posao kao učitelj,
te sa svojom novom djevojkom Karin uživa u domaćoj atmosferi mirnog života.
No, idila ne traje dugo, Veuma uskoro zapljusne brutalna prošlost.
Njegov gorki neprijatelj Knife, pušten je iz zatvora, odlučan da se osveti
onima koji su ga osudili za ubojstvo tinejdžerke.
Uskoro je Veum duboko upetljan u slučaj u kojem se suoči sa svojom savjesti
pitajući se da li je Knife zaista kriv.

Varg Veum je serijal kriminalističkih priča pisca Gunnara Staalesena o privatnom detektivu
s imenom Varg Veum, koji živi na zapadnoj obali Norveške u gradu Bergen.
Staalesen je bio inspirisan američkim "tvrdim" kriminalističkim pričama, ponajviše piscem
Raymondom Chandlerom kao istaknutim predstavnikom istih.
