Odličan, tužan i neobičan film.

Pored dobre priče i majstorskog pripovedanja, što i nije neka novost za japanske autore, treba istaći fotografiju i nedostatak bilo kakve sentimentalnosti. Šinoda drži takvu emotivnu distancu prema Orin i svim drugim likovima da nas na kraju dovede u naopaku dilemu treba li ih uopšte žaliti. Za mene fascinantno.
