La belle noiseuse (1991)

This lush sprawling French drama by New Wave director Jacques Rivette (Va Savoir) explores the myths and realities of the creative process through the complex relationship between an aging painter and his young model. Michel Piccoli plays Edouard Frenhofer, a painter who has not touched canvas in 10 years but whose creative juices are stirred again when he spies Marianne (Emmanuelle Beart), the girlfriend of an admiring young artist Nicolas (David Burszstein). Nicolas volunteers Marianne to be the painters new model, raising tensions between boyfriend and girlfriend, between Michel and his wife and former model Liz (Jane Birkin), and leading to a prolonged modeling session that reveals the psychic violence released between an artist and his muse. Although four hours long, the sequences in the artists studios are captivating, and critics universally lauded the film as Rivettes masterpiece. Aka the Beautiful Troublemaker.

Ovo čekam jako duuugo.

Inače Emmanuelle Beart mi je jedna od najljepših ,najzanimljivijih (da ne kažemo najhrabrijih) i sve naj francuskih glumica.

Očekujem puno od ovog filma.

P.S. Prije jedno 6-7 godina se je šetuckala po Mostaru (došla je na poziv Francuskog kulturnog centra Andre Marlaux) i dan danas mi je krivo što je nisam upoznao.

Nakon desetogodišnje kreativne apstinencije, čuveni slikar

'Lijepa gnjavatorica' s novim modelom, mladom Marianne,

Film je Rivettova obrada priče Honoréa de Balzaca 'Nepoznato remek-djelo',
