Gospodin K, putujući mađioničar, nađe se u kafkijanskoj zagonetki kada ne može pronaći izlaz iz hotela u kojem je spavao. Njegovi pokušaji da izađe samo ga uvlače dublje unutra, još više ga zaplićući s propadajućim hotelom i njegovim znatiželjnim stanovnicima u labirintnim hodnicima.
