One of the most interesting places in the United States is seen in this film. Contrary to popular opinion, the trees were not native to the spot where they now lie, but in the prehistoric age were carried thither by a flood of hot water holding silicates in suspension. These silicates were taken up by the wood, which thus became turned to stone.
