Opis:

Na povratku iz patrole jedan je oficir ranjen u nogu strelom ratnika Komanča. Nesposobni lekar nije u stanju zaustaviti krvarenje i slučaj završi tragično. Kako su prethodni lekari u utvrdi bili pijanac i narkoman, vojska šalje novog, sposobnog mladog poručnika Sevarda. Nakon što je nestalo desetak pušaka, vojnici nastoje sprečiti da dotad mirni Kajove napuste rezervat i pridruže se ratobornim Komančima. Sevard se više bavi prevencijom epidemije malarije od koje Kajove obolevaju u rezervatu. Potiče ih da odu u drugi rezervat u planinama, zbog čega ima problema sa vojnim zapovednicima. Utvrda će se naći pod opsadom oba plemena, a Sevard biti suočen sa optužbom za izdaju...
